Michael Kohn is a LEED-accredited professional and SC-licensed architect with over forty years of experience. As a native Carolinian, he grew up with a love of fine art, music, community, and culture. After graduating summa cum laude and first in his architecture class with a BA of Pre-Architecture from Clemson University, Michael spent a year in Germany at the University of Stuttgart on a full academic fellowship, followed by a Master of Architecture degree from Rice University, Houston. He has taught architecture at the University of Houston, served on Columbia and SC’s AIA boards, presented at national AIA conventions, and served continuously in the field of architecture since graduation with a wide range of clients and projects.

Michael has remained an integral part of the community, serving as president of the Columbia Rotary Club and chief lay officer of the SC Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
